.22 Rifle Shoot Rules
The Shoots are held on the second Sunday of the months of November (12th), December (10th), January (14th), February (11th) and March (11th).  They will begin at 12 O'clock noon.  The rounds will be for various meat prizes and for money.  Various rounds will be determined as standing only rounds and some rounds will be for Buckhorn type sights only.  Other rounds will be open rounds where you can use any open sights, such as Shadow or Peep.

There will be sheets showing the rounds, telling the meat prize or money, if it's a open or buckhorn sights only round and if it's a standing only round, posted in the shooting area.  The shooting area is held upstairs in the Club's hall and is not wheel chair accessible at this time.

Contestants will be shooting from behind a table either standing or sitting, depending on the round being shot.  Persons standing will not be allowed to lean against the table and persons sitting may have 1 elbow resting on the table, but not leaning their body against it.  You will be shooting at a 3" Bull's-eye style target approximately 32 Ft. away.  Ammunition will be provided.  16 Shooters per round, $3.00 a shot.

Contestants will be allowed to buy a maximum of 2 tickets for themselves per round and allowed to win 3 rounds, after winning 3 rounds the person must retire from competition.  (See Rules)

The ammunition is a low velocity type and the report is fairly low, but hearing protection is up to the individual and is not provided by the Club.

If any round is deemed a tie by the judge, a shoot-off between the tied contestants will follow immediately to determine a winner.

All weapons should be cased and no outside ammunition to be brought in to building.

The Club supports Youth and the training of their proper handling of firearms.  Safety is our Number 1 goal.

Usually there's a roaster full of Bean Soup, sometimes Chili, maybe even Hobo Stew free to the Shooter and their family, for as long as it lasts.

This is the start of the Club's 7th year of holding these shoots.  It's truly RAIN, SNOW OR SHINE! in a nice dry, heated hall.
